Resurrection Anglican Church warmly welcomed Bp. Robert Biermann as the National Church’s newest Diocesan Bishop. Bp. Biermann and his wife, Lori, from South Florida, were hosted by Resurrection’s congregation, which included a fellowship luncheon following the service. (Many thanks to coordinator, June Hart, and the many hands that prepared it.)
Today’s sermon from Matthew, Chapter 7 was preached by Bp. Biermann and reminded us that the message of the false prophets of Jesus’ day is also a relevant message for today’s world – perhaps more than ever. Being ever mindful of our responsibility to embrace sound doctrine and a faithful study of the scriptures, we as Christians have the perfect defence against these false prophets.
Bp. Biermann is the Diocesan Bishop of the Province of the Holy Spirit in Vero Beach, FL. We are excited to welcome him into the Reformed Anglican Church, and we look forward to his many gifts and talents as he labors with us in God’s vineyard. Bp. Biermann feels called to plant churches throughout the Southeastern United States, and we are very excited to see his vision of growth and outreach.
